Not exactly optimum control - animal size dependent?

2 tags placed on each animal (18 calves), 1 cow, 1 bull two weeks ago. Calves remain relatively fly free - 25 or so on backs. Cow has a few on back. Bull is covered with flies except on face - had to hand spray today. Rest of cow herd gets tags tomorrow and I hope they are going to work - my goal was to avoid having to move cattle to corral every 2 or so weeks for hand spray application. And these tags are supposed to give protection for 4-5 months.
