More about Comfort Cove® Radiant Heater - 47" - 120 Volt

Mount this 47" 120 Volt Comfort Cove Radiant Heater 2 1/2" to 4" below the ceiling, so the radiant panel directs heat downward across the room, without being blocked by obstacles. This radiant heater comes with easy-to-install mounting brackets and the 1/2" conduit knockouts make installation simple.

How Radiant Heat Works

Radiant heat does not rise like hot air, instead, it heats anything in its path - up, down, or sideways - traveling in a straight line until it strikes an object. It is unaffected by gravity, and will not fluctuate temperature. This efficient heating alternative warms floors and objects, as well as the air in a room, similar to the way the sun heats the earth. As objects in the room become warm - chairs, floors, people - the surrounding air picks up the heat by conduction and the entire room maintains a constant comfortable warmth.

  • Rugged solid metal end cap
  • Ample sized junction box on either end

97" Radiant Heater is the Best

7 years ago, I bought a 97" comfort cove heater from QC Supply's, and it installed easily and has worked great every winter to keep my 10 x 12 Tuff Shed Office comfortable. Just bought a 47" unit for my Wife's new 10 x 12 Tuff Shed - She Shed.

Extremely Happy

This is my second purchase from QC, I have a total of three of these Cove heaters and couldn't be more happy. These units work great, are easy to install and have reduced my electric bill over the quartz heaters I was using before. I have more Cove heater purchases planned in the future and they will be from QC Supply, my previous experiences with them have been excellent.

Every bathroom should have one

Installed in an 8' x 12' bathroom with 9' ceilings. It's perfect for evening out temperature fluctuation from forced hot air system. We can also set the bathroom a little warmer for bathing on the cold winter days.
Easy installation. Silent operation.
The bottom of the unit is unattractive if it can be seen when installed.
The (white) finish on the assembly screws is very fragile and the finish on one end cover was chipped at a corner. Wish it came with a little touch-up paint.

Am using a 47" in a small bathroom with a tiled walk in shower. It warms the tile directly and eliminates the loss of body heat before the central heat warms the house on a cold morning. I installed a smaller one in another bathroom a year ago. The new one seems to be better for fast heat up. Both are on timers.

Would recommend to others

I purchased this product to supplement my heat pump. It seems my house is always chilly in winter and I usually use floor heaters but with small kids and animals, it's sometimes a safety issue. I love how these mount up out of the way. The heat from them are so much warmer then my regular heat and keeps my room nice and warm. I also noticed that it doesn't dry up all the humidity, which is great in my reptile room. I would recommend this to others.
