Pretty good overall, not sure yet if suitable for full grown hogs

Our young (125lb) pigs took to this just fine. It didn't take them long to figure out how to drink from it and they are doing fine. That said, we have a breeding pair, full grown, so 600 and 500 lbs respectively, and I am not sure if they are drinking from this trough or not. I have seen the boar standing near it and I'm sure he could smell the water, but I haven't seen him or the adult sow drinking from it. But they might be. If so, then I'd say this trough is great for pigs of all sizes, beats filling water bowls. The design makes it hard for them to put their hooves in the water bay so you only have to deal with the mud from their snouts.

A friend recommended keeping it full at all times so that the hogs can't knock it over. I'll second that, they did knock it over when the water level was low but we haven't had any problems when we keep it say 90% full, it's too heavy for them to budge.

Its construction seems stout and I am confident it will last us quite a while.
