Control Solutions, Inc. Poultry DOMINION® 4L is a liquid insecticide for the control of darkling (mealworm) beetles and hide beetles. DOMINION 4L is a liquid flowable concentrate containing 4 lbs of imidacloprid per gallon. DOMINION 4L may be used indoors as a spot, crack and crevice, or overall surface spray to control darkling beetles and hide beetles on floors, walls, and support beams of poultry or turkey housing structures. Apply between flocks after de-caking and sanitation procedures have been completed.

Darkling beetles (mealworms) are commonly found in poultry houses because the environment is conducive to their growth and survival. It's important to control darkling beetles because the insects carry common poultry viruses such as Infectious Bursal Disease Virus (IBDV), Marek's Disease Virus (MDV), and Reovirus.

They also carry bacteria such as E.coli and Salmonella and protozoa such as Histomonas meleagridis which can cause blackhead disease. Diseases can be transmitted by darkling beetles through direct contact, recontamination of the disinfected environment through the reuse of litter, or by direct ingestion by birds.

Darkling beetles can also cause significant direct damage and economic loss to poultry housing.

Key Use Instructions

• Dominion 4L is a liquid flowable concentrate that may be used indoors as a general surface, spot, or crack & crevice spray to control darkling (litter) beetles on floors, walls, and support beams of broiler &
• Calculate the surface area to be sprayed. Apply 3 fl. oz. of Dominion 4L per 1,000 square feet of surface area in 1/2 to 2 gallons of final dilution per 1000 square feet.
• Make applications between flocks, after the litter in each house has been prepared for placement of the next flock (i.e., AFTER cake is removed, litter raked, and any new material added) not more than 7 days before bird placement.
• Rotate insecticides every 6 months to manage insect resistance
