SwineMate is an Oral Progestin Solution that is used for synchronization of estrus in sexually mature gilts that have had at least one estrous cycle. It prolongs gestation for 2-3 days, synchronizes farrowing, and postpones post-weaning estrus. Treatment with altrenogest solution 0.22% results in estrus (standing heat) 4 to 9 days after completion of the 14-day treatment period.

Dosage & Directions

1. While wearing protective gloves, remove the shipping cap & seal; replace it with an enclosed plastic dispensing cap
2. Remove the cover from the bottle dispensing tip & connect luer lock syringe (without needle)
3. Draw out the appropriate volume of SwineMate solution. Note: Do not remove the syringe while the bottle is inverted as spillage may result.
4. Detach the syringe & replace the cover on the bottle dispensing tip to prevent leakage
5. Administer 6.8 mL (15 mg altrenogest) per gilt once daily for 14 consecutive days
6. Treat gilts on an individual animal basis by top-dressing SwineMate on a portion of each gilt’s daily feed allowance
7. To produce the desired synchronization of estrus in a group of gilts, treat all of the gilts daily for the same 14-day period
8. Excessive use of a syringe may cause the syringe to stick; therefore, replace the syringe as necessary
