Dirt Killer Nozzle Maintenance: Sand, grit or rust particles in water further reduce the life expectancy of a Dirt Killer Nozzle. Follow these steps to ensure an extended life for your Dirt Killer Nozzle.
- If the nozzle slows, emits a bad pattern or stops, cease using the nozzle immediately. Failure to do so may cause turbine damage. Disassemble the nozzle and clean nozzle and nozzle shaft.
- Filter inlet water before the pump and use a high pressure filter.
- When starting, point nozzle down to prevent ceramic tip damage.
- Keep water temperatures below 180° F
- Do not trigger on and off. This causes excessive wear.
Dirt Killer Nozzle Rebuilding Instructions:
- Remove cover and unscrew inlet adapter.
- Remove turbine nozzle and check for clogs.
- If clogged, clear turbine nozzle and reassemble.
- To rebuild entire nozzle, remove all contents. Place small O-ring on tip of seat and smear with 272 Loctite and press set into tip of nozzle.
- Change large O-ring on inlet adapter.
- Drop turbine nozzle into nozzle body and screw inlet adapter on. Back on nozzle turbine should not be centered.
- Replace cover.
