Our old syringe washers were not sealing properly in our 50 cc Hauptner syringes as the rubber washers turned hard and would not hold a perfect seal. This was causing air bubbles each time we gave a shot, which was messed up the accuracy of our 1 cc dose shots.
I did have some new washers in unopened bags that we had gotten from the local farm store about 10 years before, but they had turned brittle too; even though they were never used.
The new 50cc Hauptner washer kits we got from QC Supply were in great shape as the rubber was still soft and pliable. I could press an indentation with my fingernail and it would recover to normal form instantly.
Since the QC Supply Hauptner washer kit was less than half the price of our local farm store, it was a double win.
