This is the only model I have been able to find with an audible alarm. It works great, but only lasted a year. Shortly before a year, the switch was unreliable. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

I needed something to discourage my 150 lb. buck from battering me every time I went into his pen. This did the job. I like that it has to be turned on and then a button pushed to make it work, because it is harder for me to use it by mistake. I like the wrist strap, so I can keep it with me and still have two hands free. Most of all I like that it keeps my buck at a polite distance while I put his food down and fix the cover over his pen. Previously he would whack me in the legs with his head or climb on me because he didn't like me touching "his stuff". Nothing else I tried with him seemed to work, but this does.

i ordered and it came a few days later. qc is a great store. the prod is about 6 inches long and as thick as a pistol grip, seems like the same plastic they use for glocks so its good. batteries already inside, just 4 AA, not sure if thats standard. the battery compartment has a solid hinge swing door thats 1 inch long in the base of the grip that opens with a standard screwdriver. black body black strap, strap made from a showlace weave, looks like. two bronze prongs out the end about 1 inch each, parallel, has a safety switch for pushing on or off and then a button trigger on the underside where your index finger can push. possibly ambidexterous, i am right handed but theres nothing stopping left hand holding. large size could be used with ranch hand gloves. have not tested the effectiveness yet, could be a possibly fatal weapon if applied to a human because in theory it is designed to shock livestock which weigh hundreds of pounds more than a human man. makes a quiet beeeeep sound when engaged. not a childs product this is the real deal and very solid build. highly recommend. came quickly in bubble wrap and with invoice. easy to return if i was not keeping it. thank you!............ cons: there is no holster included........ so you may have to keep it in a pocket, but, again, it has an on off safety and only is "live" when the index finger button is pressed. ........... may possibly fit snugly in a pistol holster like a large revolver holster. or hang it from your belt with a carabiner and the strap.
