No Stretch Rope - 1000 Ft
More about No Stretch Rope - 1000 Ft
A special diamond braid polyester jacket over a Kevlar core makes our No Stretch Rope virtually "no stretch". In testing, a 10’ piece of rope only stretched 3/8".
Features/Specifications:
- Great for lift and pull ropes
- Excellent for paving string lines
- 1/8" x 1000’ roll
- Weight: 4 lbs. per roll
This is my 4th spool of this cordage over probably 20 years. It is definitely thinner that previous spools, and the kevlar core seems to be fewer strands. It is nominal 1/8, as advertised, and there was more than 1000 ft on the spool. I hope that the knots release as well as they did on the previous, heaver feeling versions.
Thanks
Small diameter, strength, nonstretch and knot friendly make this cordage highly desirable in the construction of Yurts.
I use this rope as layout lines for complicated displays of banners and other pole mounted wind devices. Reliably marks incremental measurements even in damp conditions and over distances of a couple hundred feet or so. Easy to handle and holds knots well.
Just what the name reads, "No Stretch Rope." I had been looking at 1/8" tubular Kevlar but it was both too expensive and had too much stretch. This rope has a nice smooth finish but a heart of none woven (hence the no stretch) Kevlar. With the polyester outer coating it holds knots well and heat seals well. Although the application just called for 250' I think the entire roll will find uses!
I love this cordage. Over the years I have bought 2 spools, and I am about ready for another one. I use it for guy lines, tie downs and my clothesline. I have lengths of it that must be 7-8 years old and they are still getting reused. Knots tight and releases pretty easy.
