I could not find the correct backing plate for my #270650 cup waters, so I bought several of these #270491 backing plates. All but one hole will line up. I used the cup as a template & drilled the third needed hole. These backing plates are much heavier than the ones that were on my #270650 cup waters & do not distort when you tighten the bolts.

This backing plate works great for our watering cup system. It is easy to install and when you need to adjust the height, no issues there either. The only problem we have had is sometimes the mounting holes don't quite line up but we can always make it work.
