purchased as a high-quality upgrade for a small 20" floor fan with intense vibration issues. despite the 1/3 hp motor requirement, it was paired with a WEG 1/4 hp ODP 3p motor driven by a Fuji Electric VFD. the result was astounding. due to the blades being designed for a high performance application with the 45° pitch, the blades deliver incredible airflow at a much lower speed. at 30 hz (900 rpm) the blades provide equivalent or better airflow to the previous cheaper blades at 60 hz (1800 rpm). the operation at lower rpm almost completely eliminated the vibration issue that the fan previously suffered from. it is also far quieter. while i am unable to run the blades at 1800 rpm (which would require power beyond the electrical rating of the drive and motor), it is not neccessary for me to do so. thus, the VFD is programmed to limit to 30 hz, providing negligable vibration, lower noise, and all while only consuming 100w at top speed. it is a win-win. well done, Multi-Wing.
