More about Sportsman 1502 Digital Incubator

This all-in-one Sportsman 1502 Digital Incubator and Hatcher is a must-have for poultry farmers raising a small flock of chickens. This incubator offers an accurate digital thermostat with an LCD display of temperature and humidity. An onboard computer monitors systems and the environment every second to keep itself updated and to share this data with you.

Electronic egg turning control, audio/visual indicators, and a standard easy-view door highlight a number of standard features. This is a complete incubator and hatcher. In addition to having three automatically turned racks, it has a hatching tray in the bottom of the incubator. So if you are just getting started with a small flock, all you need is this one incubator.

Set the eggs each week or so and then hatch the oldest setting eggs at the same time. Settings are rotated among the three turning trays so that the hatching tray can accept the eggs from one of the setting trays each cycle. Constructed from high strength plastic board, making it well insulated, quieter, and easier to clean. Each unit is hand-assembled by skilled craftsmen and tested for a full 24 hours for proper operation and calibration.

Set it and forget it!

Set up was easy and quick. Instructions were clear and within 10 minutes it was up and running right out of the box. Our first batch of quail eggs yielded an 84% hatch rate. A lot of people get 30-50% their first time with other incubators. But we did everything we could and knew to do to ensure the eggs were viable before we started incubating. From there it was basically set it and forget it! If you'd like to see it in action you can check out our videos on YouTube @ Sojourn Farms.

Great incubator

I have nothing but great things to say about this incubator. It is absolutely awesome, coming from the styrofoam ones this thing took my hatch rate to 90% and up. I hatch to get hens, so after a 50% hatch then culling roosters, I was getting about 25% hens. So thrilled with this baby!
