More about Stainless Steel 360°Poultry Nipple

Guarantee easy water access with a 360° Degree Stainless Steel Poultry Nipple. Made from high-quality stainless steel, these screw-in nipples are great for rearing.

Features

  • Threaded body
  • 85 mL/min pushed in water flow; 55 mL/min side action water flow
  • 360° side-action pin
  • Excellent for rearing birds
  • Perfect for 8-10 birds per nipple
  • 1/8" thread
  • Will NOT operate on garden hose pressure
  • Vertical mounting ONLY will leak if mounted horizontally

Installation: This nipple is designed for use in square PVC tubing systems. Assemble by screwing nipple into the tubing. Needs a .90 ml (metric) hole to screw into. Requires an 11/32" drill bit, QC Part #350061-11/32, sold separately, to install.

Note: For gravity-fed water systems, we recommend using QC Part #420006, Poly/Stainless Steel 360° Poultry Nipple, or QC Part #420011, Push-In Style Poultry Waterer Nipple.

Not a good nipple

Do not buy this nipple it leaks like constantly I have a 6 gallon water system and the whole system leaked in a day and the parts of the nipple do not stay in they fall out when any of my birds pecked them
To get water and ending up in the pipe I put them in bad design would not recommend this to anyone

Well made nipple

The nipple is well made and functions the way you would expect. Although, I think it needs more hydrostatic pressure to stop the small drip you get from the nipple. I have the nipple installed in a flat threaded bull plug that I can remove and clean as necessary. I installed a small stainless steel roll pin behind the nipple to prevent the weighted valve from coming out of the valve body. Works great but the gravity system I am using doesn't create enough pressure to keep the gravity valve closed. I realize that this nipple was created for a low pressure pump system but it still works great and I don't think it will ever wear out. I would buy it again but I don't think I'll have to. Good product.

Great buy

We just built a water bar using these nipples. We used a 3/4" PVC pipe. When screwed in, the insert weight cannot come out because it hits the top of the pipe. Any bigger pipe would allow it to fall out. This system replaces the 5 gallon bucket system. Much nicer now!

Quality Product

Items arrived quickly and work great. I am making a waterer for my brother in law as he is as tired of cleaning and filling his bird waterers as I was. After I screwed the nipple into the pvc cap I cut a 1" length of 1/2" pvc pipe then drilled the same size hole in it as I drilled for the nipple then screwed it onto the top of the nipple inside the waterer and now the birds can't push out the top part of the nipple.

Push In Much Better

I ordered a few of these and a few of the push in version at the same time, thought that these might be better since the push ins have some plastic/rubber. However, if these dont have have something blocking the piston thing, it can actually come out. Which forces you to take apparatus apart to retrieve/replace it. Probably works fine in pvc of exactly the right diameter i guess.
